ESPRIT DE CORPS
Corps of Cadets adapts to pandemic with values and tradition intact
CORPS OF CADETS
Between Dec 9 and 16, 2020, six cadets from Company H-1 rucked 1,000 miles to raise awareness and funds for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. The cadets (known as the Project Atlas team) ruck marched from Zion National Park in Utah to Pagosa Springs, CO. They exceeded their original fundraising goal in just three days in, and ultimately raised over $25,000 for the foundation. Read more.
The Corps of Cadets has always been known for its perseverance, persistence and determination. In a season of adversity and numerous challenges, our cadets have adapted and overcome, succeeding despite the many challenges they faced. They still maintained the values and traditions for which the Corps is known throughout the semester. In honor of our cadets, enjoy this video that captures the spirit of the Corps.
The Corps of Cadets had an exceptional fall semester! Despite having to overcome many challenges, the Corps succeeding academically, posting a fall term GPA of 3.2! This is the 10th consecutive semester the Corps has posted an overall GPA above a 3.0. It’s also the highest fall semester GPA ever posted by the Corps of Cadets.
Forty-nine cadets commissioned into the United States Armed Forces in December. These men and women join the ranks of thousands of Aggie officers who have gone before them, carrying on the traditions of military service for which Texas Aggies are known. We are proud of our cadets and our Corps!
