Participate in events hosted across campus

Many departments and units across campus host awareness month events geared towards students. These events can be educational, social or service-based, and can typically be found on the university’s calendar. Health Promotion, MSC Programs, the Department of Multicultural Services, Greek Life, University Health Services, and other campus organizations host programs and events that promote awareness for various topics year-round.

Have a conversation with a friend

Prevention and awareness start with a conversation. Being open to hard conversations may encourage those around you to speak up or get help. You never know who around you might need to talk!

Keep the conversation going

Just because an awareness month is over doesn’t mean the conversation has to be. Remaining open minded and prepared to talk about hard topics is always a good tool to have in your tool belt.
